'Slow Down' Clay Workshop

SLOW DOWN – a 2-day workshop with Viktoria Jeanroy, ceramic artist 

Have you always wished to try yourself in pottery and create your own unique ceramic pieces? In our special edition course your wish can come true!

Viktoria is a ceramic artist and pottery has been her passion since her childhood. She makes functional, unique pottery, mainly tableware and light sculptures to make everyday moments a little more special.

Her art reflects elegance and calmness. She handcrafts each piece individually and lovingly, while choosing the designs thoughtfully to ensure they fit into minimal homes as well as bolder interiors.

Pottery is her meditation, it is about reconnecting with the present moment, returning to the beauty of simplicity and enjoying life at a slower pace. This is what she aims to transmit in her pottery courses. She also helps her students to discover the endless creativity that we all have in our hearts.

On the 1st day, Viktoria will introduce you to the art of hand building pottery techniques that use no wheel but only the hands and simple tools. 

Our  team will accomplish your knowledge with the dripping glazing technique on the 2nd day.

We promise that you will not only go home proud with your own creations but during this 2-day course, you will reconnect with the present, discover your creativity and let your daily worries go.

In this pottery course, suited for beginners, you will:

• Explore how to work with the clay of your choice – 2 different clays, a beige and a gray one, will be provided to choose from
• Learn how to make a functional cup and a plate or a bowl, with the help of hand building techniques, such as slab folding, plaster forming or pinching
• You can try out making different structures in the clay by using a stamp or a crochet
• Learn how to apply different glazes to reach a dripping effect

1st day: Sept 29, 6 pm to 9 pm

2nd day: Oct 20th , 6 pm to 8 pm or Oct 27th, 6 pm to 8 pm

You need to bring comfortable clothes which can get a bit messy - we do have aprons.
